The CDTC Smart Communities Program supports local governments in the use of data, applications, and technology to help people and goods move more quickly, safely, and efficiently. The Saratoga Springs Municipal Smart City Street Light Guide & Evolving Technology Guidebook is the first CDTC funded Smart Communities initiative. It was developed with the intent of assisting communities as they balance decisions related to the conversion to LED Streetlights. The Guidebook reviews existing streetlight technologies, how they can be leveraged and their impact on community aesthetics, energy use, mobility, and operations. It also outlines the options local governments have in converting to LED Streetlights and what they should consider.
The Municipal Smart City Street Light Conversion & Evolving Technology Guidebook is now available. Please provide comments on the guidebook by May 6th in the comment portal.
