The Lighting Research Center (LRC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in partnership with the Town and Village of Colonie, the New York State Department of Transportation, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, National Grid, the Capital District Transportation Committee, the University Transportation Research Center, and Creighton Manning, is evaluating the street lighting along Central Avenue approximately between Fuller Road and Reber Street (near New Karner Road), as part of a project that will involve replacing the existing high pressure sodium lights with light emitting diode (LED) street lights. Before the lighting is replaced, we would like to know your opinions of the current street lighting. Completing this survey is completely voluntary. Please observe the street and the lighting at night, and then, select the responses which most closely describe how much you agree or disagree with each statement.
