NYSDOT Functional Classification & National Highway System Viewer
An interactive map created by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). This online tool provides a map of Road Functional Classifications and National Highway System designations as maintained in the NYS Roadway Inventory System (RIS). Only Federal Aid classes are displayed.
NYSDOT Traffic Data Viewer
An interactive map created by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) that allows users to access and download traffic data information. The following information is displayed:
◾Vehicle volume, classification, and speed data
◾Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT)
◾Truck AADT and Truck Percentage
◾Location of historical short count sites
NYSDOT Roadway Inventory System Viewer (RIS Viewer)
An interactive map created by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). The Roadway Inventory System Viewer (RIS Viewer) is a GIS web application for displaying data contained in the Roadway Inventory System (RIS) database. The RIS Viewer contains the following data: Federal Aid Eligible System (All Public Roadways), State Highway, Posted Speed Limits, and State Highway, Annual Average Daily Traffic Volumes.
FHWA HEPGIS Interactive Map
HEPGIS is an Interactive Web Geographic Information System map viewer created by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) that allows users to locate and zoom-in to a geographic area of interest, create maps showing various geographic features and themes, and view the metric data federal performance measures, demographic and other data. The HEPGIS website also has tabular capabilities to retrieve, sort, print, download and email geo-spatial data for these metrics. The source for the data are the metric data submitted by State DOTS to the Highway Performance Monitoring System.
Empire State Trail Map
The Empire State Trail Map is an Interacitve map viewer created and maintained by New York State, highlighting the Empire State Trail as well as many connecting trails.
The 750-mile Empire State Trail welcomes bicyclists and walkers of all ages and abilities. The trail extends from New York City through the Hudson River Valley, west to Buffalo along the Erie Canal, and north to the Champlain Valley and Adirondacks. In addition to providing new sections of trails and bicycle infrastructure to explore, the Empire State Trail generally follows the exisitng alignment of popular trails in the Captial Region, including the Erie & Champlain Canalway Trails and the Mohwak-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail.
