1.0 AGENDA AND MEETING NOTES REVIEW

 

The minutes from January’s meeting were approved without changes.

 

2.0 NEW BUSINESS

 

2.1 Presentation of Regional Greenway Plan:  

Jeff Olson, Alta Planning

A Roundtable discussion followed regarding how to move forward with the plan.

2.2 Linkage Program Status:  J. Purvis noted that the Harriman Campus Linkage Study is finishing up and a public meeting will be held in March.  J. Purvis also noted that the Cohoes Van Schaick Island Revitalization Study is getting underway, the Request for Expressions of Interest for this study are due on February 9th.

 

2.3 Other New Business: 

 

E. Troy reported that she has a copy of the proposed Rush Pond Bike/Ped Path in Washington County.

 

J. Stangle noted that the Town of Colonie passed its new Land Use Plan to rezone the entire town.  J. Stangle also reported that Denise Sheehan former Commissioner of NYSDEC is the Director of Planning for the Town of Colonie, replacing Phil Pearson, who retired.

 

J. Poppel reported that free training will be held March 1st and 2nd at the Saratoga Springs Library for “Walking School Bus Training”. Please Contact J. Poppel to sign-up or obtain more information.

 

J. Mearkle noted that Schoolhouse Road will be getting sidewalks and shoulders this year, construction should begin this spring.

3.0 UPCOMING EVENTS

The next CDTC Bicycle and Pedestrian Task Force meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 13, 2007 4:30 p.m. at the CDTC Offices.
