The New York State Department of Transportation announced that Northway Twin Bridges rehab work will begin starting September 7. One lane will be open in each direction during weekends. The project website says: “While NYSDOT is taking several measures to minimize the impacts of the closure on traffic flows on the Northway and on alternate routes, travel delays are still expected. Congestion will be greatest from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both Saturdays and Sundays. Motorists are urged to expect delays on the Northway and Route 9 and to seek alternate routes of travel during these periods.”
