Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA)

The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is the public transportation provider and designated recipient of federal transit funds in the Capital District. CDTA offfers several mobility services beyond fixed route transit for those with special needs:

Access Transit is a subsidiary of CDTA which brokers transportation for Medicaid clients in the Capital District.

Star (Special Transit Available by Request) is a paratransit serivce offering transportation alternatives to people that are unable to use CDTA's fixed-route bus system because of disability or impairment.

Travel Trainers help people to become successful transit users by providing information and support in a one-on-one instructor assistance.
