The Transportation Council will provide consultant assistance in collecting data on the condition of all sidewalks, curb ramps, street crossings, and pedestrian signals along public rights of way, in addition to bus stop loading areas and multi-use paths. The project will also provide or incorporate, at municipal direction, other requirements including the municipal ADA policy statement, ADA Coordinator, and Complaint or Grievance Process. Applications from municipalities are due April 19, 2024. Please email us at  info@capitalmpo.org with any questions, or call us at (518)458-2161 and ask for Carrie Ward.

To date the Transportation Council has worked with the Town of Glenville, City of Saratoga Springs, City of Albany, and Village of Ballston Spa to create a Municipal Self-Analysis and Transition Plan. Transportation Council staff previously collected a complete dataset of the locations and materials of all sidewalks within the planning area, and had forwarded this data to each municipality with sidewalks by March 2018. We are currently working with the Town of Guilderland and City of Troy.

CDTC Self Evaluation and Transition Plan

The Transportation Council's Self Evaluation and Transition Plan analyzes its policies, practices, and procedures. The document contains a nondiscrimination statement as well as a grievance procedure and complaint form. It evaluates the Transportation Council's public meetings policy, its written publications, the office location including access to the office space and toilet rooms, and its website. The Transition Plan specifies improvements we will make or cause to be made, as well as a timeline for those improvements.
