Today, New York State announced the beginning of its Annual Pedestrian Safety Enforcement and Education Campaign for the week of June 11th. In addition, New York State announced capital project awards related to pedestrian safety at local signalized intersections and uncontrolled crossing locations. Four Capital District communities will receive a total of $3.44 M in federal Highway Safety Improvement Program funding: the Cities of Albany, Schenectady and Rensselaer and the Town of Clifton Park.
