Local Pedestrian Safety Project Solicitation

NYSDOT in coordination with the Capital District Transportation Committee (CDTC) is pleased to announce the local solicitation for pedestrian safety projects included in the Statewide Pedestrian Safety Action Plan (PSAP) that was announced in June of 2016. The local solicitation for pedestrian safety projects includes $40,000,000 statewide in federal Highway Safety Improvement Program funds for systemic pedestrian safety projects on local and county urban roads and streets. Note that projects will only be eligible within CDTC’s 2010 Adjusted Urbanized Area Boundary. You can view that boundary here. There is a $250,000 minimum to apply for system level projects.

A webinar about the program is being held on November 14th at 2 p.m. and potential projects sponsors are required to participate. Details can be found here. Applications must be submitted to CDTC by email only by March 09, 2018.
