2.0 ONGOING TASKS
Difficulties
have occurred in the reprint of the Bike/Hike Map. Discussions with the print shop are on-going.
Discussions
regarding the Capital District Bike Signage Guidelines will be deferred until
the October Task Force meeting due to the minimal attendance at September's
meeting. D. Robertson discussed the
issues the Lake Champlain Bikeway committee faced in creating a continuous bike
route around Lake Champlain. They had
created their own bicycle symbol with logo on it but NYSDOT did not approve
it. However NYSDOT did state that if the
Vermont DOT approved the sign, NYSDOT would change its decision. D. Robertson also noted that he could invite
someone from DOT who dealt with signage to come to the next Task Force meeting.
