  • ADJUSTED URBANIZED AREA BOUNDARY (UAB) AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW: At its June 6, 2013 meeting, CDTC Policy Board approved and released the Draft 2010 Adjusted Urbanized Area Boundary (UAB) for public review. Documents available for review include a Narrative, Guidance and Maps. Comments are welcome and are due by July 12, 2013 (Posted on June 12, 2013)

  • 2013-18 TIP ADOPTED: At its June 6, 2013 meeting, CDTC adopted the 2013-18 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). (Posted on June 6, 2013)

  • INFRASTRUCTURE WORKSHOP ON JUNE 14th: Yesterday, the 2013 REDC Guidebook, CFA Application Manual, and CFA Available Resources Manual were released.  They appear online at The CFA portal is set to be open to accept applications from June 17th to 4PM August 12th.   I am sure many of you will be involved in the CFA workshops – dates and locations to be determined.   • FREE NYSERDA WORKSHOPS: The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is sponsoring a series of free workshops throughout New York State to help facilitate the deployment of electric vehicles and associated charging infrastructure.  More... (Posted on May 17, 2013)

  • CDTC CERTIFICATION REVIEW: The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) of the U.S. Department of Transportation have fully certified CDTC as meeting federal transportation planning requirements.  CDTC has prepared a summary of findings of USDOT's full report.   • COMPLETE STREETS LEGISLATION: Communities across New York State have recently passed Complete Streets legislation.  They have been posted to Capital Coexist for any communities interested in passing their own Complete Streets legislation (Posted on December 19, 2012)

  • PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE SAFETY TRAINING FOR LAW ENFORCMENT: CDTC recently conducted a Continuum of Training for Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety for Law Enforcement.  Officers learned how Engineering, Education and Enforcement must work together to make the bicycle and pedestrian travel environment safer for people of all ages and abilities.  (Posted on May 15, 2012) Slides
